REM. 1. Laryngo-stroboscope, subst. masc. Stroboscope servant à l'étude des mouvements des cordes vocales (cf. Méd. Biol. t. 3 1972). 2. Laryngo-stroboscopie, subst. fém. et p. ell. stroboscopie. Examen des mouvements des cordes vocales à l'aide d'un laryngo-stroboscope. L'étude des cordes vocales en vibration nécessite l'emploi de la stroboscopie qui les montre immobiles ou ralenties (Arts et litt. 1935, p. 36-4).

DÉR. Laryngoscopique, adj. Qui est relatif au laryngoscope ou à la laryngoscopie. Miroir laryngoscopique; examen laryngoscopique. Il est curieux, en effet, que la voix — le plus ancien des instruments — donne lieu depuis quelques années à des discussions que l'on ne trouve pas aussi aiguës dans le domaine, par exemple, de la lutherie, et cela tient sans doute au perfectionnement récent des procédés d'étude laryngoscopique (Arts et litt., 1935, p. 34-5).
